HONORING OUR FLAG

I am writing this on my blog but these words are not mine...they are words God placed in my brother's heart...his name is Maxey but we call him Buster.

Our Flag Stands For Freedom

A long time ago the color of our skin made a difference. Our country is not perfect, but it has come a long way. Today it is not skin color that makes a difference, it is people. Too many have forgotten what is important. God made this world and everything in it. Anybody that thinks God is not in control is badly mistaken. There are people that think they are in control...the government, the wealthy and others.

The President of the United States of America is our Commander in Chief. He has to make decisions that affects every part of an American's life. We as Americans should not be fighting our President but should be praying to God to give him the wisdom and heart to make the right decisions to the best of a humans ability. Nobody can do anything without God. God gives everyone gifts that He wants us to use to His glory.

When we go before God, the color of our skin, what religion we are, how smart or wealthy we are means nothing. What matters is if we lived our lives in Jesus. We as a country have taken God out of everything. You see God gave us free will, with free will comes our problems and our sins. Then comes Satan tempting us everywhere we turn. The only way any of this can be fixed is thru God.

The Pledge to the Christian Flag

I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag, and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen and coming again with life and liberty for all who believe.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

The Pledge of Allegiance was written in Aug. 1892 by the Socialist minister Francis Bellamy. This is the original: I pledge allegiance to my flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Francis hoped every citizen in every country would use it. In 1923, the words; the flag of the United States of America were added. In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged congress to add the words under God. They did, creating the 31 word pledge we say today.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Section 4 of the flag code states: The pledge should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder with their hand being over their heart.

If only, we as Americans would stop fighting over color, religion and all the other petty things: such as honoring our flag and country. There is no country that is a worse enemy than we are to ourselves. We as American people, must quit fighting each other and join together as the great country we are. We can not come together the way our country is now. I feel as an American citizen, we need three major things to happen. There are so many, but I think these 3 things are the main things...all the rest will fall under these three.

1. Our country and the American people have to come together and turn back to God. We are the most blessed country in the world. God did not ever leave, He has always been here and still is. God gave us this land and blessed everyone here. Praise God!! Pray for Him to bring back our greatness - only He can.

2. Congress, House of Representatives, the President and the Vice President must come together and become united as one. When you talk about American people coming together...it has to start at the top. They all work for us, we as Americans are smart people. I think we can see they are not worried about the people or the country. They are too busy fighting each other. This country is supposed to be run under a democracy. It is time for Democrats, Republicans and people that are neither, to come together and get our country straightened out. God will give them the ability to succeed if they will ask. These people are smart but they cannot fix our country without God. The leaders of our country need to be honest and trustworthy. I am not saying that all politicians are crooked but I feel the ones that aren't are not the majority.

3. We as country need to see how selfish and greedy we are. Ask God to open our eyes. Write your congress people and the President....remind them, we have to clean up our own backyard before we can clean up someone else's. America has so many problems, if we as a whole country start understanding this and come together to fix our problems...we can become a mighty country again.

A summary to all this: As a Christian and a very concerned American, I want to say...in my heart, I feel we have to worry about our enemies and protect our homeland. But if we as American people do not come together and start taking care of what God gave us and blessed us with, we will not have to worry about our enemies because we are going to destroy ourselves.

I ask all people , Christians and the ones who are not, to join me....let's stand up and make this country great again.

Thank you
Buster
