Growing in Spirit and Truth

1 Corinthians 12:12-29 NLT The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit and we all share the same Spirit. Yes the body has many different parts, not just one part. If the foot says, "I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand," that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, "I am not a part of the body because I am not an eye," would that make it any less a part of the body? If the whole body were an eye how would you hear? Or if the whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? But our bodies have many parts and God has put each part just where He wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Well, good morning!! It's been a long time....I started this blog just out of curiosity. As you can see I haven't done anything with it. I have a lot inside but don't know how to say or write it but I am about to try. I am seeing soooo much sadness in this world. People who have been putting on their happy faces are beginning to lose the strength to do it anymore and bad things are happening.  Because we are Christians we do a lot of pretending and trying to do the right thing. We never want to disappoint God, our family, or even the people we call our friends but because we can't get past what we feel we wind up in a ditch somewhere. I was asked to give a little talk in my Sunday School class awhile back and in the process of studying trying to decide what to talk about, The Spirit of God led me into a study  of husband and wife relationship which also lead to Christ and the Church.
