"GOD IS LOVE" (1 John 4:8)
Well, good morning!!
It's been a long time....I started this blog just out of curiosity. As you can see I haven't
done anything with it. I have a lot inside but don't know how to say or write it but I am about to try.
I am seeing soooo much sadness in this world. People who have been putting on their happy faces are beginning to lose the strength to do it anymore and bad things are happening. Because we are Christians we do a lot of pretending and trying to do the right thing. We never want to disappoint God, our family, or even the people we call our friends but because we can't get past what we feel we wind up in a ditch somewhere.
I was asked to give a little talk in my Sunday School class awhile back and in the process of studying trying to decide what to talk about, The Spirit of God led me into a study of husband and wife relationship which also lead to Christ and the Church.
We as women learn pretty quick that we are to be submissive to our husbands and our husbands are to love us as Christ loves the church. Because we want to be obedient, we try to do what The Word of God tells us to do not knowing it is impossible for us to just do it. We try to do so much in our own strength thinking we are walking in the Spirit. One reason we fail is because we just see it as something we have to do to be a good Christian. There is so much more to it than that.
There is a reason for everything we are told to do, if we actually knew the Truth
behind the do and why we are at this point of trying to fix our doings maybe we
could stop trying so hard and just let the Holy Spirit work in and through us.
The Word of God says, "The Holy Spirit will lead us into all Truth" (John 16:13)
Truth is being revealed to "the Church" we have got to be listening. If we aren't
in His Word we will miss the Truth that is being revealed and instead of being in faith we will be in fear which leads to disaster.
Anyway, this is why I don't write...I'm usually all over the place. Back to where
I was..God took me to Genesis...in the Garden with Adam and Eve. He showed me
that this is where relationships failed. We knew that man was separated from God but something I never realized is that woman was separated from man too.
Because Eve was deceived by Satan and because Adam followed in the sin, we
had our first failed marriage. When God asked them about what they had done,
Eve said the serpent talked her into it and Adam said that woman You gave me
made me do it. Beginning of bad relationships!! Eve lost respect for her husband
because he should have been strong enough to stand up to the temptation and
Adam became resentful and bitter toward his wife because of the consequences
of their sin and God knew this was going to happen and didn't stop it so how can
we completely trust Him. Wow...this was major truth to me. We have been struggling with this for thousands of years.
Satan wants to keep us in confusion, doubt, and works.
Why is this happening...why doesn't God do something.....
I'm doing all the right things but my life is still a mess (this is what many of us are thinking).
Well, He did do something, He sent Jesus Christ!!!
The Word says, "In this world there will be tribulation but be of good cheer for I have overcome the
world." (John 16:33) The amp. says, "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Kinda long but good.
Again, I have wandered off. I am trying to tell what I have heard concerning relationships between husband and wife.
Here are some scriptures to look up and read: Gen. 2:22-24, Gen. 3:12-13,
Gen. 3:16-17, 1 Cor. 11:3, 1 Cor. 11:7-9, 1 Cor. 11:11-12 amp., 1 Peter 3:1-7 amp.,
Eph. 5:22-33, Col 3:19, 1 Peter 3:6a.
God compares relationship between husband and wife to Christ and the church.
In Eph. He goes straight out of talking to us into talking about the Church, in
verse 32 He says, " This mystery is very great, but I speak concerning [the relation of] Christ and the church." amp
This tells me there is a mystery as to our relationship as the church (the body of
Christ) embedded in our relationship as husband and wife. The church is as
messed up right now as alot of marriages are. We have got to stop looking at
each others faults becoming bitter and losing respect because of how we "feel".
Deception of Satan keeps us caught up in our "feelings" and we will live
defeated lives as long as we are on this earth. He knows, he can't prevent
eternity but he can definitely "kill, steal, and destroy the here and now." We have got to realize what is going on, as long as we continue to live by our feelings
and try to fix (put a band aid on) each other, we will live in unhappiness and despair. At the same time smiling and doing all the right things until it blows up in our faces.
It is not about us...it is about "Jesus Christ" the one person who chose to live and die in total submission to God in spite of feelings. The Word says that Jesus was tempted in all points as we are yet without sin. (Heb. 4:14-16). He could have become bitter, losing respect, doubting God The Father because as well as being fully God, He was fully man. He instead bore everything
for us...it is all there, we just need to reach out and take it. The fullness of God can be ours if we stop looking at each other and MAGNIFY GOD AND HIS WORD.
We tend to magnify the wrong things and we all know what magnify means,
(to enlarge). Our problems will shrink if we enlarge God the Father and we do
this by knowing where the problems come from (believing the deceptions of Satan) things we see, hear and feel. If we can get this, we can stop playing the blame game and move into the Joy of the Lord because this is where our strength is.
If we want the church to take her place, we have to take our place women. I
couldn't understand for years how the church could be the body of Christ and the
Bride of Christ at the same time. But we as women were made from the body of
man and became his bride. Our husbands are our head just as Christ is the head
of the church (His bride). We are to be our husbands helpmate in all things building him up as Eph 5:33 says,(amp) "However, let each man of you [without exception] love his wife as [being in a sense] his very own self; and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband [that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly] also read 1Peter 3:1-4
Sounds like a lot and it is but our husbands also have to take their place and
love us as Christ loves the church and we all know what kind of love that is.
Unconditional, full of mercy and grace, life giving kind of love. WOW, this is
where we want to be...we cannot have a life giving church without life giving marriages. One doesn't work without the other. We are to be one with each other as well as one with Christ and then we will see victory in our homes as well as our Churches.
Read 1 Cor. 13:4-7 (definition of love)
In conclusion...wives stop trying to make your husband submittable and take your place as his helpmate (biggest cheerleader) and husbands get in the Word and take your place as the head of our homes just as Christ took his place as head of the church (the love of His life)!!! Let's stomp Satan and his deception in the face and never submit to thoughts of but I feel, but they did or but they didn't or if they would then I could. IT'S ALL A LIE!!!!!!
We are the temple of the living God...His Holy Spirit lives in us and just as Jesus
cleansed the temple in John 2:13-16...He is cleansing His temple now. We are being purified as gold, when the bad stuff rises to the top, don't push it back down and bury it, allow it to be scraped off and cleansed completely.
Now I have to go back and read all of this to see what I have written. It has taken me a while so it must be a lot. If anyone reads this and I'm not sure you will because I write and then I delete but if I decide to leave it on here and you happen to read it, I hope there is something in here that touches your life. It has made a difference in mine just to know that everything going on around me in this world is mostly based on deception.
.The real truth lies in the Word of God...
Faith in the things unseen in a very visible troublesome world.
Thank you Jesus for giving us life and giving it more abundantly. Thank you for taking your place at the right hand of our Father in heaven interceding for us and for sending Your Holy Spirit to live in us and lead us and guide us into all truth.
I give you all the praise, all the honor and all the glory in all things.
Merry Christmas everybody...let the perfect love of Christ have it's way in our lives everyday 24-7 starting today.
I love you

Thank-you for sharing your heart with me that is awesome how Good is revealing himself to you, it is obvious you are spending time with Him because there are many people who read the word of God and never get what you got, thats because many people here the word of God but not everyone here,s the God of the word there is a difference. I think there is so much more that God wants to do in us and for us if we only seek Him with all our hearts, He say,s it is His pleasure to give us the kingdom, I believe it is time people of God start acting like kingdom people and walk in the power and authority given to us by the King Himself, King Jesus! whoa that gave me chills. I believe we can have total victory, peace and full joy in every area of our life if it were not so I dont believe He would have said it is finished but He did and I believe it and receive it. It is time we come out of our comfort zone and spread light in a dark and dying world it needs what we have and the only way they will get it is if we share it with them, that is why He fills us so we can pour out His Spirit to this world. He fills us with Him and that it is why we should be filled continuously so we can continuously be pouring out His spirit,we are His hands and His voice it is my prayer that we serve Him well!
ReplyDeleteI Love You
Mike
I was sitting in my chair this morning looking out the window just like I always do. The clouds were really dark but the sun was shining through them giving a bright glow, the wind was blowing through the trees causing them to bend and sway, our flag was whipping as the rushing wind blew on it. Not only could I see the very visible evidence of the wind but I could also hear it very loudly as it touched everything that was in it path.
ReplyDeleteIt was as if I heard God say...what you see is a picture of ME..THE GREAT I AM. MY SON IS THE BRIGHT SHINNING GLOW through ALL the darkness and MY SPIRIT IS THE MIGHTY BLOWING WIND WITH A MIGHTY VOICE THAT IS TOUCHING EVERYTHING IN IT'S PATH...I AM FULLY ABLE TO COMPLETE THE GOOD WORK I HAVE BEGUN...ONLY BELIEVE!!!
Mike, you are right..
Stan, you are right..
IT IS FINISHED AND WE ARE LIVING IN THE GREATEST HOUR!!!
Connie,
ReplyDeleteI am trying for the third time to send a comment to your article. I first want to again say, when the urge that the Holy Spirit puts in your heart to write, don't question it, just write what He is leading you to say. He obviously wants to say it or He wouldn't lead you to write it. Leave it all up to Him. He knows who and what He is wanting to touch. You are absolutely correct about us living in troubled times. I have never seen all the different kinds of trouble that is attcking us like it is today. As I ponder over all these things, it is easy to get confused and clouded in our thinking. For most of us in America, we have had a fairly easy life. We haven't faced the things that the rest of the world has. We almost always could figure out how we would take care of our issues. And as long as we could, we were all right. I like what I heard when you said we know how to say the right things, but when it comes down to living it, it becomes a different matter. It's not to hard for us to think we are the right kind of people when we have our life in control, but the minute that disarray conflicts our life, we see a different side to who we are. I pray that God's people don't lose sight of what is happening here. God will finish what He started. He made us for His glory. He must remove those things in us that seperates us from being exactly what God created us for. So, I am convinced that God is removing our issues from us. But only He knows how to do that. Our troubles are actually the developement in our life. They are good things not bad. While we are going through them it's hard to see that. We become confused and our thinking gets clouded. During those times, God is moving us deeper in the relationship He desires for us to have with Him. It's in those times that He is changing the way we see things, the way we understand things. He is bringing us to the point of having no confidence in who we are but to become totally dependent on who He is. God's interest is not to see how wonderful we are, but for us to see how wonderful He is.
Even though we are in the most serious times we have ever faced I think God is preparing the church for tremendous vicgtory for the world to see. But to do that He must get us ready. It can become exciting thinking about what we are about to see. I know our hearts go out to all those around us that we see dealing with all these troubles, but the comfort comes from knowing that our Father is on the job. He loves our family and friends greater than we ever can. He cares and is doing something about it. God's people must be patient and wait on Him to do what He is doing. We don't want to get in the way. The greatest thing we can do is to understand each other. Pray continually for each other and release this unconditional love of God's to each other. We don't want to spend any time on what God's people are not doing, but keep our eyes on what God is doing. He is bigger than all of us. His power is greater than any other power. He will prevail. Compassion will always do greater good than accusing.
I feel that God is dealing with all of us for a great movement that is upon us. Lets all be still and listen to His leadership. Lets not be afraid of anything that we hear Him calling us to do. He has given all of us diffrent talent, but He uses those talents together to accomplish His goals. We are all here to serve one another just as Jesus did. We will be the objects that God uses for this particular time of need.
Thanking God always,
Stan
I love to watch all of Gods creation worship Him. I think that's what we are seeing when you see the trees swaying in the wind the Holy Spirit is moving and even they bow to Him. All of Gods creation worships Him. Like He said the, very rocks will cry out if we don't, so cry out with a mighty shout of praise. Just look what a shout of praise did in Jericho, who knows what walls will be brought down in our lives just by doing it.
ReplyDeleteI want to say a little about your comment. Stan it is so obvious that you know how wonderful and powerful our God and Father is and that He is in full control and I agree, but I feel you may not understand who you are and these are not my words but the Lords. He has said that we are more than conquerers, the head and not the tail. we are blessed going in and blessed coming out. We are the righteous of Christ, we are His children, joint heirs with Christ. He has given us His name, His blood, His Spirit, His Kingdom and authority over the powers of the enemy. He has also given us THE measure of faith, not a measure meaning we have all the faith needed to walk in His power and authority. This world has no power over us unless we allow it. I think we are deceiving ourselves by saying we need to wait on Him to do what He has already done.I think we need to stir up that gift of God which is in us and reach out to people who need His love and power to flow in to their lives and situations. They need to see somthing different in the children of God than they do in the people of this world, and if we act upon His word and power that works in and through us they will, PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
I say all this in love and believe it is a word from our God and our Father.
I LOVE YOU BOTH
Mike
I do believe we have been given the authority to speak the Word of God and expect it to become reality, we can speak His Word through Grace in faith with expectancy. To be saved we have to believe in our heart and say with our mouth that Jesus is Lord. Believing and saying go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteI have been battling between Grace and faith(works) for several years now. How do you walk in one without the other, well I found out that you can't. If we just walk in Grace we live thinking we can do nothing because God did it all and He will do whatever He wants when He gets ready. If we just walk in faith, we live thinking we have to do all the right things or God won't do anything. They are both wrong. God has done it all so through Grace in faith we read and speak His Word daily. His Word does not return to Him void. God always had someone speak His Word into existence, everything in the Word of God was spoken before it was seen. We need to speak the promises in the Word out loud. Grace is the complete work of God and faith is believing in that work.
I also believe God is bringing us into a great movement. We are being separated from this world and right in the midst of doom and gloom, we are seeing the promise of victory. I think faith without works is believing without saying. God will have someone that will speak His Word and His Will, will be done. He always raises someone up to speak His will into existence.
Our confidence has to be in who He is because we are nothing without Him. It's the Power of His Spirit and the Truth of His Word that sustains us in this world.
We do need to pray for each other and love with the unconditional love of Christ. We tend to want to set each other straight on what we think the real truth is. I think God has given us each a piece of the truth and I think our pieces fit together. I'm not sure where we are being led but I know Who is doing the leading. We are becoming less and He is becoming more.
It's hard to get our words to match what is in our hearts but our hearts are connected in a way that can never be severed.
It is now 10:20 so I'm going to bed. Sweet dreams and good nite.
love,
Connie
