"WE'VE BEEN NOTICED"

Hi.....

I just finished a new book.."The Noticer" by Andy Andrews. A friend at church gave it to me to read. It's about a man name "Jones"..he helped people who were in a bad place in their life by giving them a new perspective in their situation.

This made me think of Jesus...He's our "Noticer"...He notices every detail of our lives. I thought, wouldn't it be great if Jesus just showed up and talked us through our troubled times. We all have times in our lives when we feel separated from everyone and everything. It can be due to many things..the death of someone we love, sickness, being hurt by someone we trusted or just life in this old world. We begin to think no one cares. Well, that isn't true...Jesus cares and He notices our pain and tears. He has noticed every second of every day of our life. He has guided us through all of our hard times even when we didn't feel His presence at the time. We may not hear His voice but He has given us His Word and His Word is His voice. Because He is "The Noticer" and knows every detail of our lives even before they actually happened..He prepared the exact words we need to give us a new perspective, no matter what the situation. We have to read His Word to be able to hear His voice. His Word gives us hope where there seems to be no hope.

Romans 15:4 "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."
Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."

Jones, in the book would tell them the truth about their situation and then he would show them a whole new way to look at it. He was truthful and kind all at the same time. Jones carried this old suitcase with him everywhere he went. The book ended with Jones leaving but he left his suitcase behind. All the people he had helped showed up and began telling their story of how he had helped them. They finally opened the suitcase and inside were packages of seeds and a letter.

There was evidence of his presence all around, he brought them out of a dark place into the light by showing them a truth they couldn't see because of their pain. They each took some seed. They could have held on to it as something that was given to them by Jones but they all took their seed and sowed it. You could see life growing everywhere.

Jesus is now seated at the right hand of Father God but He left us His Word and His Spirit to live in us full to overflowing touching everyone around us, until He returns to take us all into His Presence forever. Praise God!!

This is a new perspective we should grab ahold of...there is evidence of His Presence all around...He has brought us out of a dark place into The Light by giving us The Truth of His Word. He has given us the seed of His Word to sow, so that others can see just as we have seen.

Anytime we are in a bad place and need someone to walk us through it...let us look to Jesus, He notices and is there to give us a new perspective in our situation by the washing of His Word.

Always remember, we are never alone...Jesus said, "I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Mat.28:20 and in Heb.13:5 "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Joshua 1:5 "I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

Thank you for noticing Jesus!!
From one blessed child of God to another.....

  1. Connie,

Thanks for those encouraging words. Life consist of all kinds of different things in our life. We can get caught up in the extremeness of it all, but as you have said, God is never caught up in any thing. He is always in control. Nothing gets to Him. He is always on the job taking care of us 24 hours a day. Even when it seems we are a million miles away, He is right there. I agree that we have this wonderful opportunity every day to express His greatness to all those around us. We do that with a smile, a hand shake, a hug, a kind word of encouragement. That is who God is. He is always about victory, never about defeat. He is always positive, never negative. He is about LOVE, never hate. We are eternal victors. Our race has already been ran by our Lord Jesus. The price has already been paid and we are the receivers. Praise the Lord!!!
